New Members
· If you have a new NCAC account it can take 24-48 hours for your membership to be fully set up. Account set up is complete when you receive a membership confirmation from our office.
· To access all the relevant pages and comments etc.. you must log unto the website with your email address and password.
· Make sure you opt-in to receive NCAC news. View your account information and set the Receive Members Email flag to Yes.
Members Due
There shall be a non-refundable annual membership fee. This fee shall be reviewed by the Executive prior to the annual general meeting, and recommended for approval by the majority of members in good standing at the annual general meeting. The dues shall become payable one month after the annual meeting to be held before the end of March of each year.
Members shall be deemed to be in good financial standing when they have paid their current annual membership fee.
Only members in good standing will be considered for benefit programs of the association by the appropriate committees.
A registration fee of $20 for single members, $40 for family, $50 for associate, shall be paid by all new members. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Annual dues are: $25 single, $50 Family and $100 associate.
The fiscal year shall begin on January 1st and terminate on December 31st.
Members’ Responsibilities
One time registration: $20 - single; $40 - family
Prompt payment of annual dues.
Attendance at monthly meetings, at least 4 meetings in a 12-month year.
Attendance at annual general meetings for elections, and other special meetings such as the town hall meetings.
Volunteering in at least two volunteer-based events of the association in a fiscal year.
Withdrawl, Expulsion and Suspension Members
Members may withdraw by tendering their resignation in writing to the Secretary.
In the case of a resignation, members shall remain liable for the payment of any assessment which became payable by them prior to the acceptance of their resignation.
Members in arrears on dues shall lose their membership privileges, including membership benefits and voting rights until all arrears are paid.
No member shall be expelled or suspended without prior notification of the charge or complaint against him/her or without an opportunity to be heard by a Committee set up for such purpose. At least seven (7) days notice shall be given to the member by the Committee prior to such hearing.
Suspension or expulsion shall occur when a member violates the By-laws or in any case where action of the member causes harm to the Association or its members. Recommendation for such expulsion or suspension shall be made by the Disciplinary Committee, which shall have the final authority to approve such a decision or otherwise. Expulsion or Suspension shall not be lifted until a review of the situation has been made by the Executive.
When a member or a guest disrupts the Association’s functions or assaults another attendee, such individual shall be immediately expelled from the venue, even if it requires inviting the city police. Such member or guest would be responsible for any incidental costs or loses incurred by the association as a result of the disruption.
Any member aggrieved by reason of any decision of the Disciplinary Committee shall appeal to the Executive Committee for a review.
